BEA Kodo™ 4.1 is BEA's proven, award-winning, high-performance persistence engine and Object-Relational (O/R) mapping product.

Version 4.1 is compliant with the new Java Persistence API - JPA (developed as part of Java EE 5 and the EJB 3.0 specification - JSR 220). To implement the new Java Persistence API, BEA Kodo 4.1 leverages the same OpenJPA technology used the by the eponymous open source Apache incubator project. Java Data Objects (JDO) version 2.0 (JSR 243) is also supported providing developers with flexible options to persist Java objects to various data stores.
